Portrait painting from the late 1700s, oil on canvas by Isaac Andreas Cold (1716-1761) Professor of law in Sorø and justitiarus at the Court of Justice in Norway in 1759. (Son : Christian Magalus Thestrup Cold (1754- 1826) Police Director Copenhagen.) The painting has a nice patina and has some small repairs on the canvas and is framed in a nice old silver frame. Unsigned but is probably made by the Danish / Swedish portrait painter Johan Hörner (1711-1763)
